About
Tammy Mehmed is an Instructor with Sirius Puppy Training in San Francisco and provides private consultations and training for puppy owners. For over six years she has specialized in the development, training and behavior of puppies, which includes pre-puppy selection assistance and puppy in-home setup to household manners, basic and advanced obedience training both on and off leash. She is passionate about working with young puppies training them through conditioning and positive reinforcement, while coaching nervous owners on how best to handle difficult situations. Most importantly, she has a keen understanding that dog training isn’t just about the dog, and is able to communicate with and coach the human family, from adults to children, so they can better manage and train their puppy or dog as a household friend and companion.
Tammy is a member with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and continues to advance her animal training knowledge and skills. Over the years she has studied hands-on with world-renowned animal trainers such as Ian Dunbar, Bob Bailey and Kathy Sdao. Her little Cocker Spaniel Harleigh is now 8.5 years old and is a Canine Good Citizen and an assistant instructor in puppy classes. Her new puppy Jester is the inspiration for this New Addition program.
